Kitts und Nevis St. Lucia St. Waiting for the big one. People need warning, this is not a fair or proper company, but a typical sharp practice scam merchant.
I now have to mess around of reporting them to the relevant authorities, starting with citizens advice on Monday and take it from there.
BEWARE DO NOT USE. Played for over 4 years and won NOTHING! I joined as I quite liked that Carol Smilie lady who used to advertise the lottery.
I believe no one else on my street plays, which may explain why my odds are so poor. I believe only 1 other person shares my post code!
Everyone should have an equal chance of winning or at the very least receive a thank you gift once in a while. Total scam, have signed up for 2 years now and I live in Kent, South England… The winners are always from the Midlands and up the North of England… Even the adverts the winners shown all have Northern accents… They email the postcodes that win and yes all up north… Disgusted they get away with it… If you live in the South anywhere steer clear..
I agree with you, scott, about it being all Scottish. More people in Scotland win the larger amounts of money than anywhere else in the country.
The adverts on the T. V usually feature winners from Scotland as well. Played for just over 3 years with 5 tickets.
Discovered that to increase the chances of actually winning the monthly Postcode millions your Local area needs a certain amount of players this information does not appear in their company literature or web page secondly, they would not consider allowing the monthly Postcode millions winners to choose 5 local charities to benefit with a donation, despite spending a serious amount of money sending out birthday and Christmas cards to existing customers, and hosting black tie events which must have cost a lot to host.
They take up to 28 days to pay out money, yet collect the monthly subscriptions in advance. All in all unless you are based in the right area of the UK, your chance of winning is low.
If you want to help Local charities, then give this company a wide berth. I also won numerous smaller prizes and continue to do so.
And the people that advertise are usually always old and retired. It always seems to be well off people winning the bigger prizes.
One winner not too long ago had a huge house and nime horses in a stable in her garden. I have yet to see a the poorer areas of a city receive large prizes.
I sent an email telling them that as I subscribed to them electronically I was cancelling electronically and insisted that they accept my email as my cancellation notice.
Not for me and I would definitely not recommend. When you see the winners of big prizes it only seems to be Scottish postcodes winning!
Not a fair distribution of winners. Considering cancelling now. I unfortunately cancelled my subscription a few months before our area won and the people who shared the big prize are most definitely NOT actors!
Looking back at the postcodes that win it does seem to be fair, but remember the postcode can only be entered if at least 1 person plays.
Not all postcodes will be in the draw, how stupid would that be if a postcode won the big prize yet no one played in the street?
Much annoyance! I wonder every day and check every day, but nothing. Read reviews now agree with others. The photos were all of them.
Also I know of several others who have won smaller amounts. I have been very vocal recently asking lots of questions as to why Scotland, North, Midlands and Wales keep winning, get standard crappy reply about everyone has equal chance, yes right!
There is a lot I want to say about PPL but would be here all day. I am stopping my DD at end of April I play with 5 tickets. They are rip off merchants.
Rachel you are just plain wrong. Looking back at the last 20 draws for that one there were 3 postcodes from Scotland, 1 from Wales, 5 from the north, 4 from the midlands and 7 from the south.
That looks like a pretty even spread to me. Hi Tom, thanks for your reply. How is this lottery drawn every week.
I live in a Ws13 area and we never get anywhere near the winning areas. Are we at the wrong end of the postcode alphabet to qualify for a big win. I have been playing for 4 years now and only won a few 10 pounds wins.
Is this really worth playing anymore? Extras used as winners, big rake off for shareholders, more winners in Scotland — base of the lottery.
Not a random lottery at all. Total scam. Look at the distribution of the winners. Seems seriously weighted in favour of the North.
Suspicious if you ask me. Will never waste money on something where the odds are not only long, but weighted against me winning.
Play if you live up north avoid if you live down south. Interesting it is run from Scotland. Just saying.
No doubt in my mind that PPL is rigged. Hard to fathom how people are willing to betray their friends and families for a few bucks.
I have witnessed it. But alarm bells are ringing now because just yesterday I was talking to a friend who does work as an extra for adverts and he was telling me that he has been given a job to film the advert for the postcode lottery.
The interesting thing is that he is going to be an extra as the husband of one of the so called winners!! Mmmm, I thought they were filming the actual winners.
I would like to thank all the people who have commented on this lottery. I was about to join and decided not to after reading the comments.
The CEO is Simone Veronique VAN and if you have an issue, write to her. I would have included an email address but could not find one.
I honestly feel that after reading all the comments, this is a scam and should be avoided at all cost! Again, thank you for saving me money well earned!
I noticed that a lot of winners are prodomately centre in the same areas. I think that I will put it in the National lottery instead.
The odds are very weak. Going to pack this in. I did agree to play for an extra draw. A few months later I found they were taking the extra one of payment every month.
So I cancelled my ticket. Beware of phone calls from them. Looked at this recently since I stopped playing National Lottery. With a business background, I looked first at the Annual Report which is mandatory in Law.
One year on and the revenue has increased a fair bit — but so have the costs figures are 68 MILLION POUNDS.
This nearly equals what goes to good causes. How can this be legal? Cannot believe that a great guy like Richard Branson can have his name associated with this!
Been in this lottery 5 years lucky to have won 3 tenners in that time. I played for over a year. It does not look lucky and I wonder if it is all fixed.
Leeds 26 area seems to win large amounts. Wondering if someone who works at postcode lottery knows people there? Surrounding areas have won …….
Seems strange to me to be honest. Then nothing since. Will see how it goes, but look at winners of large amounts in Rothwell Leeds compared to rest of Leeds …to me seems strange!
Joined about 5 months ago.. I sent an email complaining and got back a pre written reply.. I won nothing in the second year.
As far as I know the odds of winning are supposed to shown by law. I have asked them to comment several times but they just ignore you. Well, I think you must have to have a lot of entries with the same post code to win otherwise your chances are non existent.
What about the west midlands area. Is it a con? I think and see all the time that they never show that Asian people wins the postcode lottery.
They always give lottery to English people. Are they are racist or what. Some Asian is playing postcode lottery as well. When they see the name of Asian person they give lottery to someone else.
However, when I check the postcodes directly above and below mine, they have won several times. In fact the postcode above me has won 3 weeks in a row.
Also, they never answered emails I have sent, and it all just seems a bit of a con compared to National Lottery. For the first few months of joining I won a few tenners, since that nothing.
The big winners seem to always be in the same areas, like Wales, Scotland and anywhere north of the border. I will be contacting my bank to cancel my direct debit.
I played postcode lottery for years never won, they pick the areas they want to win loads of crap, we pay for their TV Advertisements and there TV Stars, I tried to cancel, loads of excess being made by them, wrong email address and so on.
Now I know they are only adverts for Postcode lottery, but all the so called winners of decent amounts of cash all seem to live in big houses, I have yet to see a winner in a tenement or a high rise flat, money seems to go to money!
Been doing postcode lottery for over 3 years with 2 tickets so well and truly out of pocket, strange how everybody wins in first month of joining.
Purchased Three Tickets Last May, Won Twice, Money Paid Into My Bank Account Immediately People In The South Of England Do Win, Those Who Find Problems Checking Results Etc.
I think you are lying. Money is not paid into your account immediately it takes 4 days to go into your account.
I won on Saturday and on a Sunday. Saturday winnings when into my ban account on the following Thursday and the Sunday Win when into the account on the following Friday.
If for instance out of say fifteen players all with the same postcode and all contributing to the postcode lottery have they got a better chance of winning than only one playing under a postcode.
And I presume the numbers are run through a computer so the chances of it stopping at one of the fifteen with the same code are greater than the chances of it stopping at one postcode.
But if you live in wales i say do it you have more chance than rest if uk to win big money. Just reading comments on postcode lottery and noticed a few months ago you were waiting for confirmation of your winnings.
As yours was the only positive comment I saw, wondered if you were real and how much your share of prize amounted to. Well done and hope it all worked out ok.
On the TV they make it look like every postcode is winning. I decided just to have a sneaky peek on the postcode map and my God nearly everyone on every road signed up to postcode lotto have won.
When are they going to start spreading the areas and cities, so other people get a change. So, no, I will be cancelling my direct debit.
I joined PPCL in February I was informed that I had missed 3 card payments and they had subsequently cancelled my membership.
I was initially told that they e-mailed me on each missed payment occasion and on cancellation — this was later retracted by PPCL who confirmed they had in fact made no attempt to correspond with me at all!
It appears the reasons for the missed payments was likely due to a change in my credit card number. After complaining, the outcome is that PPCL have no obligation to inform any of their members of missed payment or if they cancel your membership — what other company do you deal with that would consider this acceptable?
Obligations aside what a poor level of customer service, in fact a non-existent level of customer service. Not quite the friendly people orientated lottery they claim to be.
T Pattison. I feel that certain areas like Wales and the Midlands do better with the bigger prizes. I wonder when the last big one was won down south.
Keep hoping one of the big ones come to this area one of these months or years. It is good value for a tenner a month, but there are things that need to be changed, not least that a sizeable proportion of the charities are in Scotland.
My gripe is about the length of time it can take to find out what you have won in the Postcode Millions.
Is this even legal? I left a comment on Facebook, but as with a couple of emails I have sent, you never get a reply to valid queries.
People have put their money on, won fair and square, and are entitled to know immediately. He will refuse publicity anyway if his prize is worthwhile.
I may contact the Gambling Commission about the holding back of the prize, whatever it is. I joined after seeing ad on Tv. I checked in their website my postcode was never winner.
So at the end I got nothing. I think it was their policy to influence player in first subscription. Something strange.
I smell a bunch of cunts are running this lottery. Better avoid if you never won. Been playing nearly a year. Have not won any single penny yet and thinking of quitting.
Robbing bastards. All winners are always from the south and always old people. I live in the south east and have never seen one let alone millionaire winners?
Where did that figure come from? Lotto hot picks increases your chance of a prize. Why do you play the pcl? I play to win like millions of others to give and to receive.
I think it is wrong for the Postcode Lottery to impose the various methods of payment. It is up to the individual to choose whether or not to play every week, where is the freedom of choice in this?
If you work out how much money you have wasted you could use it to pay your TV license off or buy something you need. Regarding the post code lottery, I agree with all your comments and advisories and too have cancelled my direct debit, due to funding and would be more likely to play if I had the option to play per game, rather than monthly.
My biggest sway to wanting to play is that a postcode is chosen and cannot be faked, with no rollovers, a win each draw, a bonus compared to any computerized, magnetized numbers and no time issues.
Could go on, but writings not my forte unfortunately. Thank you again, I will always use this site now. With just one ticket after a few months.
I played postcode lottery for over a year and decided to cancel as it seemed a waste of money. I cannot see this just being a coincidence and must be fixed.
I now play the free postcode lottery and won. Hi, I like the idea that some money will go to charity. There is no definitive answer how many in your postcode.
I rang the official Postcode Lottery office and warned them of the scam. Since then I have received post from them inviting me to join. I was going to until I read your reviews.
Thank you for sharing all the information. I think my cash is better off in my purse. Cheers thanks for the warnings. All the winners in the TV advert are in fact actors..
You will rue the day you opened an account on the day that you try to close it and are left wondering if you too are going to get hounded or have battles over them renewing Direct Debits.
Simple solution avoid! I played post code lottery for six months between and by direct debit. I had to stop the direct debit after six months.
For another two months, it was hell on earth as my handline was being called up to five times a day. I simply ignored them. When they got tired, they stopped.
A year later, I received another phone call on my mobile asking me to re-subscribe to the PCR. I refused. Has anyone noticed since the National Lottery introduced their latest batch of numbers to their draws how often those numbers have come up?
As well as the ridiculous scenario with these rollovers, just check all of the draws since they were introduced — the ratio of numbers in the 50s that are being drawn often 3 at a time is very suspect.
You add another line incorporating the new numbers…. Check out the draw numbers for yourself over the past few months….
